Hello bro. Sobem,
Thanks for defending us over there. Why is it so difficult for people out
there to believe there are many Nigerians (home and abroad) who still
struggle to eke out a living through legitimate means? Any way, thanks for
clearing that gross misconception!
Gaius ======== God bless you for taking the time out to respond to Dr Phil. The impact of such programs is very grave to all Nigerians in the diaspora. Cheers, Uzo ======= Sobem, I read the first part of this e mail on my Blackberry on Friday but only this morning read the full text. Your letter shows excellent self control and properly worded response to program in question. Taking your highroad approach will gain you and your fellow Nigerians far greater credibility than a frontal attack. Well done. Peace, john ======== Hi Sobem. I think you are right about the universal distrust factor. I went to a trade show years ago and it was sponsored by the Ontario Government. It was on how to trade with foreign countries and get paid. They singled out Nigeria and said "just stay away from them". I am glad that you are standing up for Nigeria! Michael =========
You are my one experience with
someone from Nigeria and you are the exact opposite of what I was lead to
believe!
======== My thoughts exactly. I bet you wondered about me too! Anyway glad to hear from you. Trust the family is doing well. Have a blessed Christmas season.
======= Thanks for your prompt action .Keep your eye open for more ,They will never stop their attack on our culture .The more they generate chaos the better they feel good, Keep up your good watch! A.A.Madu =======
nice commentary there. the problem we have is that of a
faulty generalization. people just categorize all Nigerians as being
dubious and that is saddening.
we hope that with current government position on fraudulent activities all will end well for Nigeria and Nigerians. regards, Yemi =======First of all, I will like to thank you for your e-mail. I saw the same show you just referenced. I now see the reason the current Nigerian Goverment recently launched NTA (Nigerian Television of Africa) International a few weeks ago. Listening to the Minister of Information and Orientation - Mr. Nweke during the inauguration of the ceremony, it was clear that all countries including Nigeria but not limited to USA always have a twist to any story in such a way that it will benefit the host country telling or reporting the story.
As much as I would like to be upset about Dr. Phil's lack of clarity on
the issues, we as indigents of Nigeria must realize that the world is
becoming a smaller global village. So, all concerned citizens should
join hands with EFCC to fight corruption and easy money, accordingly!
Just a food for thought!
Felix Nwaojei
=======Those comments were very appropriate. I would like to know their response. Anita Omitowoju ======= Sobem,
That is very, very good......a very good note.
Thanks alot.
Sorry, I did not see you again before you depart Nigeria. I do hope that
all is well with you and your family. I will keep you posted.
Royce
=======
Dear Prince,
Thank you very much for defending our country Nigeria.
Ashimedua Micheal Obata A well written observation. I have been searching for
Phil's web site so that I can give him a piece of my mind but have not had
enough time to do much. =======
Thanx Ben.
I was really disappointed with the broadcast. You can email Dr. Phil
directly at

Thanks Prince Nwoko for a very temperate and straight
to the point response to the apparently one sided and ill intentioned
program. As you correctly remarked, the public is quite often bombarded with
these scams which come from virtually all walks of life including people who
appear to be very upright. We certainly do not condone such acts
irrespective of their source or origin. Nigeria has made it abundantly
clear that it is not an acceptable behavior, but these sensational programs
are intent on continuing to denigrate an entire nation primarily because
they, like the criminals, can get away with it.
Great letter, Sobem. Bob ========
Well said Sobem. We are also glad you are back safe and sound. God bless and keep up the good fight. ______________________________ YBIC, Juan Sobem, It is good to hear from you. We were not aware of your father's situation. I was watching a Fox station news report and saw a report on the same subject matter. The main stream media is running the same new type of news clip about Nigeria. Let's get together soon, I will be out of town next Wed. & Thur. Franklyn C Simmons======= Hello Prince, Welcome back… Thanks for the letter to Dr. Phil. You are absolutely correct. I really do not have time to watch television, needless to say that I did not see the show. Well, your point was well made. I would like to hear his response. Again, welcome back. Sincerely, Jerry O. Nwonye ======= Bro Sobem, Welcome back! I hope everything went well at home. I heard you came back sick but also that you are recuperating nicely which is evident by your message here to the Dr. Phil show. Kudos to you for standing up to this ignoramus. I, too, am sick of people picking on Nigeria as though it’s the only country were scams exist. I am on a crusade just like you to educate my co-workers on this same issue. I got a lot of that when I was approaching them for donations for the LA Convention. Luckily, a lot of them know that not all Nigerians are crooks ergo I was able to get as much as $2,320 at work. We Nigerian also have an obligation to change our image and highlight the good deeds done by Nigerians. Thanks and have a blessed day. Chichi M. Daniel
