ABA receives grant from Western Union Foundation

African Business Alliance (ABA) is the proud recipient of a grant for $10,000 from the Western Union Foundation as part of its "Our World, Our Family(sm)" initiative.

"This grant from the Western Union Foundation is indeed an honor" said Sobem Nwoko, ABA founder.  "We appreciate and thank the Western Union Foundation for its belief in what we are doing.  The grant will help us crawl more confidently toward our goal -- and maybe even stand up and walk sooner.  Africa is a vibrant continent with very talented folks.  Hand outs solve immediate needs and are encouraged.  In the long run, we need to get beyond that and lay solid foundations for future growth and development through education and empowerment". 

African Business Alliance, located in Atlanta, Georgia will spend the money to continue its work producing and teaching courses that give participants the skills needed to foster economic growth and job creation projects in their home communities back in Africa.
