Macau’s China-Africa Business Council will be created during the 12th
Macau International Fair (MIF), the chairman of the Macau Institute for
Trade and promotion of Investment (IPIM) told Revista Macau magazine.
Lee Peng Hong also said that during MIF, which is held between October 18
and 21, a “forum for cooperation between Chinese private companies and
African countries,” will take place.
The chairman of IPIM noted that the MIF would be held in an area of
100,000 square meters and will house 900 pavilions with 148 sales
delegations from 47 countries and regions and 24 Macau trade associations.
In the interview Lee Peng Hong said that the MIF would have a European
Union pavilion, given that Macau wanted to become a platform of services
between China and European countries. (macauhub)
