Nigeria's Plans for 2008

The MTN has promised to boost its operation network through innovations in
2008, the company's Business Solutions Manager, North, Mohammad Aliyu has
said.
Mr. Aliyu who was speaking when the MTN Business Solution Unit held its
end of the year party for corporate clients, said 2007 has been eventful,
adding that the highlight include the buy over by MTN of the VGC Network
and XS Broadband so as to give its customers voice and data services which
may be mobile or fixed.
He said as from next year, MTN clients will be excited as a one-stop shop
ICT services innovation was already in the offing.
He said as from next year the MTN will be introducing 3.5G Network for
high speed data and YIMAX.
Some of the clients who spoke at last week's dinner party commended the
MTN but observed that there was room for improvement in the area of
quality network service.
Some of MTN's corporate clients include: UN, UNICEF, CBN and NNPC among
others.
Daily Trust recalled that the National Assembly had expressed
dissatisfaction over the MTN's network, while urging it to stop the sales
of additional lines to subscribers.
