LeCar Transportation Company Cameroon Receives Golden Palm Award
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Transnational Automotive Group, Inc. (TAUG) (OTCBB:TAMG),
a global leader in transportation services and sustainable energy for the
developing world, today announced that its inter-city bus division in
Cameroon, LeCar Transportation Company, has been recognized by international
NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) The African Group of Excellence with its
Golden Palm Award as Best Interurban Transport Company of Central Africa.
The recognition ceremony was conducted under the auspices of H.E. the Prime
Minister and Head of Government of Cameroon, Inoni Ephraim.
Leaders of The African Group of Excellence emphasized that a key mission of
their organization is to promote excellence in Africa. These leaders
highlighted LeCar as a strong example of how a company, working in close
concert with local government and business leaders, can provide
greatly-needed products and services that are safe, affordable, and highly
beneficial to the economies of growing African nations. Le Car services
typify the type of excellence this award was meant to recognize, the leaders
emphasized.
“We are very pleased that our hard work to provide a superior service in
Cameroon has been recognized with this prestigious award,” said Cyrille
Tollo, general manager for LeCar Cameroon. “Response by our riders has been
very positive since LeCar began service, and growing demand has encouraged
us to move toward expanding our routes as quickly as possible. We are
dedicated to providing the most comfortable, safe and efficient inter-city
bus service in Cameroon, and eventually throughout the sub-Sahara region.”
“LeCar is innovating the VIP Coach Service with reliable hourly departures,
comfortable seats, safety seat belts, excellent hostess service and
audio-visual entertainment,” said Christian Penda Ekoka, a leading Cameroon
and regional African business leader, and founder of Business Development
Service. “From a comfort standpoint, there is very little difference with
traveling in an airplane.”
LeCar is a coach bus service providing rapid, comfortable transportation
between major population centers. Initial services opened in Cameroon
between the capital city of Yaoundé and Douala, the country’s key industrial
and business center. Additional routes will be added between other major
cities – both in Cameroon and regionally in large population centers of
neighboring countries – as the company steadily expands service over the
next 12-18 months. |
