Following are African Business Alliance program activities.
ABA facilitates and sponsors training programs designed to help leadership at development organizations develop the capacity to create jobs. The target audience are chambers of commerce catering to regions, cities and towns, community and public sector development agencies such as Ministries of Economic Development and Urban Development Agencies. View course details and join us for the next offerings.
ABA media communications activities is built around the "Campaign" to drive for more balanced media reporting on matters relating to Africa and Africans in Diaspora. Examples are media reporting on internet fraud and the so-called "419" schemes. ABA communicates with various medial outlets to address reporting on these. Organizations we have interfaced with include the Dr. Phil Show and ABC News' 20/20 programs. ABA believes these programs when left alone deter commerce with well meaning African nations and people. Please let us know of media outlets engaging in this kind of sensationalistic journalism and we will contact them as well. Email us with information on when the program is planned to air and the contact information for the program if you know it. We prefer to contact these organizations prior to the program broadcast please. More>>
ABA believes that tourism is key ingredient to stimulating commerce. As a result we work with African tour organizing companies to stimulate travel to Africa. Please visit our "tours" for current travel related programs. If you would like to receive updates on tours to Africa, send email to africatravel@aballiance.org.
